The Dyffryn Ogwen Agricultural Show, Bethesda was formed when six local farmers got together to discuss the possibility of establishing a show.
A committee was then formed followed by a programme and then the first ever show was held on Saturday June 10th 1972 on the Dyffryn Ogwen School fields and the women's section held in the school dining hall.
The show remained on the school fields until 1984 when it then moved to Talysarnau fields, Llanllechid for a few years before moving to its present location on Dol Dafydd rugby fields.
The only time the show has been cancelled was in 2001 during the foot & mouth outbreak.
The present printed programme caters for all the competitions including Horses & Ponies, Sheep, Shearing, Cooking, Produce, Handcraft and Children Section.
